Meet the Presenter
Viki brings over 17 years of professional experience from various community kindergartens, long day care centres, independent and state primary schools, secondary schools and adult education programs. She has worked as an educator in Hungary, Germany, Japan, and Australia. This wide scope of practice has enabled her to gain very different perspectives and insights into teaching and learning within the early years and adult education contexts.
She is particularly interested in the multidimensional concept of inclusivity, especially how relationships and interactions influence young children’s learning. She is a strong advocate for inquiry-based learning and strengths based approaches. Viki has a special interest in the areas of engaging adult learners, fostering critical thinking and reflective practice, mindfulness, and the pedagogy of listening.
Viki’s qualifications are M. Ed. Inclusive Education (Queensland University of Technology), Grad. Dip. ECE. (Queensland University of Technology), B.Ed. (Queensland University of Technology), and Dip. T. German Language (University of Szeged, Hungary). Currently, Viki works as an Early Learning Consultant in South East Queensland.
